Comments: 

There are just enough distinctive features of this mushroom to make it a simple ID in the field. First is the sporadic brown coloring of the cap surface, often with a sunken center. Secondly, the gills, cap, and stem should bruise reddish-brown. Finally, the odor should be somewhat fishy.
