Lepiota sp. 1
Common Name: None
Synonyms:
Substrate: Ground; Leaf litter
Location: Hardwood forest
Spore Color: White
Gill Color: White
Comments:
I do not know of a good name for this mushroom. As with many Midwestern Lepiotas, there are very few good resources and names available. It is a small white, woodland Lepiota. What makes it interesting is that it bruises purplish when handled.
Lookalikes:
Lepiota sequoiarum is very similar but does not bruise.
