Lactarius psammicola f. glaber

Common Name: Smooth Orange Concentric Milky

Comments: 

This mushroom is very similar to the common form of Lactarius psammicola, but it has a smoother surface to the cap. Much like the sister mushroom, the cap has primarily orange tones with concentric rings of color.

The milk is white and strongly acrid.

Lookalikes:  

Lactarius psammicola has a slightly hairy cap surface. Lactarius peckii has reddish-brown gills.
