Comments: 

When this mushroom is young, it is covered with white hairs. As it grows older, The striations become more pronounced and it loses the powdery hairs. Ultimately it will turn to black goo fairly quickly. 

Lookalikes:  

Coprinopsis lagopides has smaller spores. Other Inky Caps.
