Retiboletus ornatipes

Common Name: Ornate-Stalked Bolete

Synonyms:

Substrate: Ground

Location: Hardwood Forests

Spore Color: Unknown

Pore Color: Olive Brown

Comments:

This bolete should be a fairly easy ID. Look for the yellow to yellow-brown cap, yellow stem, and yellow pore surface. Next look at the stem. There should be reticulation - a netting look to the stem. With all of these features you should have your ID.

Lookalikes:

Retiboletus griseus is similar but has a gray cap.
