Gyrodon meruloides

Common Name: Ash Tree Bolete

Synonyms: Boletinellus meruloides

Location: Hardwoods

Spore Color: Olive-rown

Pore Color: Yellow

Comments: 

This bolete is said to have a "meruloid" pore surface. It is more like a well developed netting than actual pores. They are well developed ridges and folds that form the pore surface. This Bolete is fairly common and has a cap with brown and often reddish tones, and a yellow pore surface. 

It is called the Ash Bolete, but it can be found under a wide variety of host trees.
