Common Name: Pale Bolete

Spore Color: Olive-brown

Pore Color: Yellowish, bruises blue

Comments: 

A fairly common Bolete, look for the light colored cap, whiteish stem, and a yellowish pore surface that bruises blue. The cap of the mushroom often tends to crack with age.

Lookalikes:  

Leccinum albellum has scabers on the stem and does not bruise. Boletus firmus has red pores. Tylopilus indecisus has a bitter taste.
