Boletus frostii

Common Name: Frost's Bolete

Comments: 

This is a very distinctive Bolete for several reasons. The first is the candy apple red cap. It is often shiny and smooth. Secondly it has a red pore surface. Finally, and most importantly, it has a very thick and prominent reticulation running down the stalk. 

Said to be a good edible.
