Armillaria gallica

Common Name: Brown Armillaria

Synonyms:

Substrate: Wood

Location: Hardwood forests

Spore Color: White

Gill Color: Whitish

Comments:

Generally smaller than honey mushrooms, this Armillaria is also a distinctive brown color. The key ID character that I like is the veil. It is cobwebby, very much like a cortina of the genus Cortinarius.
